Accelerating European Alibi. Will Europe Remain a Stowaway in NATO?

There are six weeks left until the US presidential election. From day one, the future American head of state, whoever he may be, will have an unenviably large portion on his plate in the form of Europe, incapable of taking care of its own defense. This is evidenced by the lamentations of European politicians regarding the approach of candidates for US president to the defense of European allies.
