Republicans Overseas and Republicans Overseas Action exist to inspire the estimated nine million Americans living overseas to engage more fully in the U.S. political process.
Through information and education, policy briefings, policy research, and issues-based advocacy, we keep Republicans living abroad politically well-informed and provide a mechanism to direct their concerns back to political leaders, including presidential candidates.
Americans living and working overseas love their homeland and desire a strong and prosperous America that is respected throughout the world. Such Americans also have unique concerns, which is why we advocate on their behalf on issues such as ending double-taxation of overseas Americans and repealing FATCA. We strive to effectively influence policy and elect Republican federal candidates all the way to the White House who will address these concerns.
Republicans Overseas was founded in 2013 by Solomon Yue, Bruce Ash, and Jim Bopp, Jr. all of whom were Republican National Committee and Republican National Conservative Caucus members at that time.

REGISTER
VOTERS
Overseas Americans should register to vote in each calendar year. Federal regulations require states to remove overseas voters from their rolls on an annual basis, even if not every state follows the law.

ELECT
REPUBLICANS
Electing Republicans appeals to those prioritizing limited government, free-market policies, and individual liberties. Republicans typically advocate for lower taxes, reduced regulation, and a strong national defense, aiming to foster economic growth and personal responsibility.
ADVOCATE FOR RIGHTS & FREEDOMS
RO's Worldwide Freedom Initiative was a step begun in 2023 to preserve and protect individual liberties. The WFI event facilitated dialogue, shared experiences, and created partnerships based on shared national interests. International leaders came together to strengthen ties between conservative movements in the U.S., Europe, and beyond to address cultural, ideological, and political challenges.
TAX
REFORM
Overseas Americans should be taxed in the country where they live and work. The double taxation of overseas Americans causes financial hardship. President Trump has pledged to end double taxation. Democrats imposed FATCA, making it hard to have a normal financial life. FBAR assumes overseas Americans are guilty of financial crimes and must be proven innocent each year. FATCA needs repealed, and FBAR returned to its original mission of tracking money-launderers, cartels, and terrorists.
